Web Crypto CSPRNG & Diceware Information Theory Architecture

Understand how ToolsHub taps into operating system hardware entropy pools and applies Claude Shannon information theory for unbreakable password defense.

01
Web Crypto API

Hardware Kernel Entropy (CSPRNG)

ToolsHub never uses predictable pseudo-random seeds. We call `window.crypto.getRandomValues()` directly, drawing unpredictable thermal noise from your CPU hardware.

  • FIPS 140-2 compliance architecture
  • Zero seed prediction vulnerability
  • Operates completely offline without wifi
02
Diceware 2048

EFF Diceware Information Theory

Generates multi-word passphrases using a 2,048-word cryptographic list where each word provides 11 bits of true Shannon entropy ($H = log_2(2048) = 11$).

  • Human-memorable word sequences
  • Resistant to dictionary rainbow tables
  • Ideal for master vault passphrases
03
Entropy Matrix

Real-Time Shannon Bit-Entropy Matrix

Calculates total password entropy ($E = L imes log_2(N)$) and computes estimated brute-force times against 8x RTX 4090 GPU clusters executing 100 billion hash guesses/sec.

  • Live crack-time duration calculator
  • Character pool size analyzer
  • Zero cloud telemetry or recording
Browser-based processing of selected files100% In-Browser Execution: All files, keys, and media streams are processed entirely within local device RAM using HTML5 Canvas, Web Audio, WebAssembly, and native Web Crypto APIs. Zero bytes are uploaded to remote servers.

Password Security & Cryptography FAQ

Learn more about our zero-server processing technology and client data safety.

ToolsHub uses your browser's native Cryptographically Secure Pseudo-Random Number Generator (window.crypto.getRandomValues). The password generation happens exclusively in local RAM. Zero bytes, passwords, or logs are ever transmitted over the internet.
Random passwords (e.g. `k8#mP!9vQ$2x`) provide high character entropy but are difficult for humans to remember. A Diceware Passphrase (e.g. `Silver-Meadow-42-Castle`) strings together high-entropy words from a 2,048-word dictionary, achieving 60-100+ bits of entropy while remaining easy to type and memorize.
A 4-word Diceware passphrase or a 16-character alphanumeric password with symbols provides over 60-90 bits of entropy. At 100 billion hash guesses per second (an enterprise 8x RTX 4090 rig), cracking would take millions to trillions of years.
Yes. Adding numbers and symbols expands the character pool and prevents dictionary attacks, dramatically accelerating your password's bit-entropy rating.
Standard Math.random() is deterministic and cryptographically broken. ToolsHub uses crypto.getRandomValues(), which pulls entropy from hardware noise and OS kernel entropy pools to make prediction mathematically impossible.
Each word selected from our 2,048-word dictionary provides 11 bits of Shannon entropy ($2^{11} = 2048$). A 6-word passphrase yields $6 imes 11 = 66$ bits plus added entropy from numbers and uppercase casing.
A 32-character mixed-set password produces over 210 bits of entropy ($94^{32}$ combinations). Even exhausting a billion combinations per second across 1,000 parallel supercomputing nodes would take longer than the age of the universe to brute-force.
Never. ToolsHub has zero backend databases, telemetry trackers, or network webhooks. The generated characters exist only in volatile browser memory until you copy them.
